PlanetWatch Technical RoadMap updates

PlanetWatch Technical RoadMap updates

In recent months we have worked tirelessly and enlarged our technical team to meet the huge demand for participation in our project and the day by day expansion of our network.

We currently have more than 2,500 air monitoring devices on 5 continents and sensor demand exceeds the availability of the warehouses of our approved suppliers.

We created a Discord channel and recruited a mods team in order to better inform and support PlanetWatchers.

We’ve approved worldwide Kaiterra’s Sensedge Mini as a PlanetWatch Type 3 (indoor) device.

We’re working to be listed in two more exchanges, whose names will be soon revealed.

All in all, we have made good progress on a technical RoadMap which currently includes the following projects:

1. New Mobile App;

2. Map improvements;

3. Redesign of PlanetWatch Explorer;

4. Centralized login on all our platforms.

But let’s start from the beginning…

1. New Mobile App “PlanetWatch”

We’ll be able to release the new App in August.

Here you can find some of the new App key features:

a. Easily create an Algorand wallet and link it to your Type 1, 2 and 3 sensors

b. Activate licenses and check validity and expiration dates.

It will be possible to activate new licenses through the new App.

In order to receive Planets you will need in your wallet both the NFT attached to your sensor and an active license.

Those who purchased sensors before the start of the license system will enjoy free LifeTime licenses for their current sensors.

c. View all data related to owned sensors.

d. Query the app on the quality of the outdoor air in the area where you are located (subject to the presence of outdoor PlanetWatch sensors)

e. View the map

As a first stage, a link to the web version of the map will be available.

Next, the map will be integrated natively into the App.

2. Map improvements

Early next week, all PlanetWatch sensors, including Type 4, will be visible on the new global map, in a way that complies with privacy requirements. Previous features have been improved, including for mobile viewing.

We’ll also include the NO2, CO and O3 values.

3. Revamping the PlanetWatch Explorer

Again, early next week, on the new Explorer you’ll be able to find key PlanetWatch data, such as:

  • The total number of streams sent;
  • The total number of sensors divided by categories and types;
  • The token price;
  • The amount of rewards distributed daily;
  • The Top PlanetWatchers ranking.
  • The latest transactions.

4. Centralized login on all our platforms

We are simplifying the login process. Our goal is to make it easy for non-crypto people to access their PlanetWatch data. We feel that making things easier is instrumental for mass adoption.

These are just some of the features and improvements we’re working on and we’re about to release.

Keep watching our Planet and stay tuned for more announcements coming soon!

  2. “Easily create an Algorand wallet and link it to your Type 1, 2 and 3 sensors”

    Hello, will the new app not support type 4 sensors?
