For Geeks: How to export an Algorand account from the PlanetWatch App

In this article you’ll learn how to export your Algorand Account from the PlanetWatch App and import it in the Algorand Wallet App, or in MyAlgo and in AlgoSigner.

How to import your account in the Algorand App

  • Download the official Algorand App for Android or iOS;
  • Click on “Add wallet” and then on “Recover from Passphrase“;
  • Write all the 25 words, with spaces, generated when you linked your sensor to the PlanetWatch App;
  • Click on “Verify“.

How to import your account in My Algo Website

  • Go on My Algo official site and click on “Access“;
  • Create a Password;
  • Click on “Add Wallet” and then on “Import Phrase“;
  • Write all the 25 words, with spaces, generated when you linked your sensor to the PlanetWatch App;
  • Click on “Import Wallet“.

How to import your account in the AlgoSigner Chrome extension

  • Open Google Chrome, then install the AlgoSigner extension;
  • Click on “Get Started” and then on “Add an Account“;
  • Click on “Import Existing Account” and create a new password;
  • Write all the 25 words, with spaces, generated when you linked your sensor to the PlanetWatch App (make sure you don’t click outside the AlgoSigner window, otherwise you will have to resume the process from the start!)
  • Click on “Grant Access“;
  • Click on the wallet address and then on “Sign!“;
  • Insert the password that you have created for AlgoSigner and then click on “Continue“.

  1. Hi I set up my atmotube and got a license but its showing the atmotube
    is connected to a different algo account than my algorand account and I
    dont know how thats possible. Im not sure what made that happen.
    I am very confused if its linked or not because I see two different algo accounts.
    How do I unlink the algo account to my sensor and link it to the proper one.
    Is there a way to reset my sensor?

  2. Hi, I have 5 sensors that I will spread out in my city between family members. Is there a way to have all 5 sensors contribute to one wallet? I saw the AMA where someone asked, however, it was just stated “yes you can” but no instructions. I couldn’t find any online either. Any help would be excellent.

    1. Hi, yes, you need to send an email at [email protected] with this information:
      – The sensors code;
      – The actual wallet addresses;
      – The new wallet address where you want to move the sensors.

  3. So. I got today my first 9 Planets in Algorand Wallet. No what? How can I exchange them for Algo? Or should I just stack planets? Thanks

  4. Need to pay the License in Planet Token but i have only Algo. Can I convert Algo in Planet token or will you accept Algorand for payment? Sorry im a newbie.
